Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Dough

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or chopped
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Crescent Dough: Unroll both packages of crescent dough and arrange the triangles in a circular pattern on the baking sheet, overlapping the edges slightly to form a continuous ring. Make sure the pointed ends face outward to create a sunburst effect.
  3. Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded or chopped turkey, cranberry sauce, shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese, mayonnaise or cream cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly blended.
  4. Assemble the Ring: Spoon the prepared filling onto the wide ends of the crescent dough triangles, piling it into a circular mound in the center of the ring. Then, carefully fold the pointed ends over the filling, tucking and pinching the ends underneath the base to securely seal the ring.
  5. Bake: Place the assembled crescent ring in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Cool and Serve: Remove the crescent ring from the oven and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm as a festive appetizer or main dish.

Notes

  • You can substitute the turkey with leftover chicken or ham if preferred.
  • Feel free to use cream cheese instead of mayonnaise for a creamier filling.
  • Try adding chopped fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
  • Serve with extra cranberry sauce or mustard on the side for dipping.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
